Ben & Lex are two of the hottest breaks producers and DJs from the UK's south west, with a string of fresh, classic tracks under their belts.
They have somehow outdone themselves here with pure unadulterated stripped to the bone breaks and bass number, which takes the duo's trademark extended lead basslines and re-samples them to keep the variation interesting.
The rolling vocal hook is reminiscent of past tracks such as Raw to the Floor and syncs well with other leading rap-led dance. The beat has an underlying bashment feel to it, with some classic breakage running over the top. About two minutes in a pure "amen" break drops in to great effect, flexing neatly with the raspy bassline before dropping out into some infectious build up action.
Just to get the track pumping a bit more in the midsection, there is a cameo 4/4 and breaks mash-up. This is an outstanding floorfiller. (SS)

This week for me sees the release of one of the strongest tracks of the year. Ben & Lex's Haterz drops on Future Perfect and it slams! A catchy re-sampled bass line sits under searing rap hooks and beats that vary in style but not in quality. It's impressed me so much that I've awarded it a rare five stars in the review section later this week.
After the smashing success of RackRuin's acclaimed ScitzoVIP which has found its way into the boxes of top jocks such as Sinden, Fake Blood, Zinc, Boy 8 Bit and more - we are rolling out another smasher in the form of this killer double A side original release from non other than the South West superstars known as Ben and Lex.
First up is 'Haterz' - a gnarly, ruffneck belter with B-more styled beats, enough old skool breakbeats to make Run DMC and Jammaster J do the running man and a reese bassline which will blow your socks off. A side-swipe at the chinstrokers with its cheeky vocal sample and seamless blend of influences this tune has been destroying clubs all over the globe and is an essential battle tool to wreck the dancefloor.
Up next is 'Mugz' with a windy and edgy b-line, tech beats and a fusion of jazzy, detroit harmonics and atmosphere. A groovier addition to the release, its tight blend of electro-techno sensibilities with monster bassweight holds enough technical trickery to keep the ravers on their toes. Blam!
