Team OMC have teamed up with In aid of Refugee Kindness Exeter to bring you 2 dancefloors of family friendly festive fun!

With No Icecream Sound coming up from Plymouth and Dub Boy heading over from Bristol as well as local legends DJ Louie Louie, Count Vanderhoff, Noisemonkey, DJ LSI, Unstable Jon and Potential Soul with Gwarn Owl, Emilio Snazz and Hatchett repping for OMC we are offering you 6 hours of great music and nice vibes for a good cause.

UPSTAIRS – REGGAE/ROOTS/DANCEHALL/FUNK/SOUL AND MORE!

NO ICECREAM SOUND:

Coming up from Plymouth will be No Ice Cream Sound – a soundsystem with the mission of delivering a strictly vinyl selection of conscious Reggae & Dub music.

DUB BOY:

We are very excited to have Bristol’s Dub Boy who’s a DJ, producer and promoter of international esteem who plays a wide variety of soundsystem and carnival musics. He is the driving force behind the seminal clubnights, Ruffnek Diskotek and Monster Bass, and performs regularly across the UK and Europe, including festivals such as Glastonbury, Outlook and Boomtown. Playing Dancehall, Soca, and Bashment , his bag of dubplate specials, unreleased exclusives and infamous mashups and remixes always get crowds moving …… waistlines never fail to wine!

DJ LOUIE LOUIE:

DJ Louie Louie hosts the popular monthly vintage club night; ‘Blow Your Wig’ (a Guardian guide, pick of the week) at The Bikeshed Theatre. He is also a veteran of many festivals and is a resident DJ at The Deluxe Diner in Shangri-La at Glastonbury festival as well as an OMC regular. Expect a foot tapping, hip shaking set of classic 50’s R&B, through to Electro Blues.

GWARN OWL:

Playing out at local night DubWise Sessions, OMC, Reggae Bus, Irie Bingo and with an awesome selection of tunes Gwarn Owl will be treating us to some roots, conscious reggae & heavy dubs, funk and hiphop sounds.

EMILIO SNAZZ:

A regular on the decks of both the OMC and The Good Foot nights Emilio will be playing funk and soul.

DOWNSTAIRS – OLD SCHOOL RAVE VIBES

HATCHETT:

Growing up in Birmingham during the height of the Big Beat revolution gave Hatchett the bug for fat beats and he’s never looked back. DJing since he was seventeen, he’s a veteran of the Liverpool club scene, where he promoted and has played and playing gigs alongside some of the biggest names in dance music, including JFB, Jaguar Skills, The Freestylers, Stanton Warriors, A-skillz, Rogue Element, Koma & Bones, Mylo and Cut la Roc. Not one to be pigeonholed, when Hatchett steps up to the decks you get a lot of bang for your buck – Hip Hop, Ghetto Funk, Breaks, Drum and Bass and a whole load of party tunes!

POTENTIAL SOUL:

Potential Soul has spun records for Housewarming, Big Like House, Rinseout, Deepend, Robodisco and he has promoted nights alongside DJ Swayee. At present times Potential Soul is focused on pushing a future sound of house and bass. Music for your mind, body and soul.

UNSTABLE JON:

Unstable Jon is an Exeter-based DJ/producer relentlessly pursuing his love, passion and unquestionable talent for House, UK Bass & Garage. Now a Resident for Big Like House and with numerous sets for Exeter’s Jam The Channel, Getme & RE:Sound, Unstable Jon has matured as an artist and moved away from his once affiliation to DnB and Breaks.

COUNT VANDERHOFF:

Count Vanderhoff (Evolution) brings you a banging set of upfront footwork taking in as many influences as rave music can offer and beyond.

NOISEMONKEY:

Noisemonkey will be spinning a history of rave music from the classic piano sounds of 1992 up to present days ragga jungle sounds and all variations of chopped up breakbeats in between. He has spent many years promoting the Evolution night in Exeter and bringing the sounds to Dimensional Schizm, Technicality and Bangface.

DJ LSI:

DJ LSI (Evolution) brings you an hour of old skool hardcore power from this underrated local scratch master. LSI has been ripping it up for Evolution for time always giving the most uplifting piano vibes and vocal harmonies.
