Project Cee

BIO

Project Cee began spinning records in the early 1990s in the back rooms of Warehouse Clubs playing everything from Hip Hop, Funk, Electro, Rare Groove and Latin. These days he has refined his field by playing Old School Hip Hop, Electro, Freestyle and Boogie on original 7″ pressings only. This borderline OCD is complimented by a passion for sambuca and an obsession for Kangol Bermuda hats, all three of which work in perfect harmony during his sets. If you’re really lucky he will pick up the mic too…

Deadpool - OMC Review

Deadpool, everyone’s favourite ‘Merc With A Mouth’, has hit the cinemas and team OMC went along to see what all the fuss was about.

Benny OMC

Loved it. High time we had more ‘mature’ super hero films… heres to a 15 (or it would be rad for an 18) rated Wolverine!

8 limbs cut off out of 10

Mr Lexicon

Funny. Violent. Nudity. Funny and superheroes. Oh yeah. And damn funny.

I’m saying 8 1/2 ? Maybe a 9/10

Richie Rundle

I liked it.. not sure I need to see it again anytime soon.. but I did like it. Hoping the budget gets increased for the sequel to bring in some different X-Men.

7.9 out of 10

So there we have it, OMC Approved cinema viewing with a top 24.9/30

The Simpsons "Movie References"

The Simpsons… is still pretty damn awesome in my book and as mentioned years ago I still hope to watch every single episode and review them for OMC! But in the mean time enjoy this video of all, well maybe not all but quite a lot, of all the movie references they have paid homage to.

ARVE Error: Mode: is invalid or not supported. Note that you will need the Pro Addon for lazyload modes.

Mirroring sequences from everything from Clockwork Orange and 2001: A Space Odyssey, to Citizen Kane and Sharon Stone’s infamous leg-crossing NSFW scene in Basic Instinct, the video recasts The Simpsons as a treasure trove for the ardent film buff.

BIO

Kev Winser AKA DJ Louie Louie has in recent years become best known for his barnstorming club night ‘Blow Your wig! A rollicking, cocktail fuelled mix of good time 50s R&B, Rockabilly, Jump blues, soul and garage rock. A resident in the legendary Shangri-La area at Glastonbury, he’s also played at many other summer festivals, (inc Port Elliot, Beautiful days, Farmfest) a fixture at many regional vintage and steam punk events and has shared the bill with Craig Charles funk & soul show, DJ Vadim and Grandmaster Flash.

During the early to mid noughties he was part of the MDC crew hosting a monthly punk and hardcore night and for ten years he was in-house DJ for the naughty but nice ‘Westward Bound’ fetish parties, keeping it sleazy for the latex groovers with dirty electro, house and techno. His biggest and oddest gig was playing to over 8000 peeps on Plymouth Hoe as part of the America’s cup in 2011.

His OMC sets have tended to be a bit more playful taking in 90s big beat and rave classics and what ever random tunes seem apt at the time.

02. LCD Soundsystem – Yeah (Crass version)

Watch Six Rave Documentaries From The BBC"s Arcvhies

The BBC have been raiding their archives and unearthed these six docs cover Spiral Tribe, The Haçienda, Belfast’s vibrant rave scene, the legendary drum ‘n’ bass label Ram Records, the drum break that became the foundation of countless classic club tunes, and, finally, the drug so closely associated with rave culture, ecstasy.

But first off, hang on, what’s this? David Mitchell revealing a surprising love of dance culture by presenting Rave Britannia?

Hidden Riddim

BIO

Right then, imagine if you will a unique blended concoction of glitchy grooves, basshop fuelled beats, luscious brooding soundscapes and a few healthy dollops of stomach morphing bass.

Good morning and welcome to the unparalleled world of Hidden Riddim!

A self-obsessed bass addict with a passion for all raves big and small, Hidden Riddim is at his best whilst bouncing around behind a set of turntables. Influences stem wildly from the smiley acid house scene to strong countryside cider, incorporating sounds from hip hop, jungle, funk and reggae.

Originally from the small town of Newbury in the United Kingdom, Hidden Riddim now resides on the Devonian streets of Exeter where he has finely tuned his party rocking skills and has fast gained a reputation for smashing together the beefiest beats.

After being signed to Cast A Blast & Riddim Fruit Records, Hidden Riddim smashed the Juno Download charts in 2010 leading to an extensive touring schedule across the UK and Europe. 2013 now sees the release of his long-awaited debut album ‘forward ever backward never’ which he will be taking on the road across a multitude of festivals this summer.

Richie has always kept the tempo down but the energy up. His sets contain a steady mix of bass heavy baggy techno and good old fashioned acid house. He’s one half of Slugrave and has played more festivals than he can remember.

An avid vinyl collector, gin fan and outspoken hater of bananas, Fiddy (aka Emilio Snazz) has been going to bass music nights since the early 2000s, foolishly decided to buy turntables and start collecting records in 2009 to the detriment of his housemates, wallet and long-suffering postman.

He can be found spinning anything from classic funk & soul, disco and Afrobeat, all the way through to UK Garage, Dubstep, House and Footwork, but will most likely be seen at OMC, drawing for the boogie and 80s nonsense over a quiet cider in the afternoon.
