Beatz & Bobz | Tayo, Ben & Lex, James Gill | 04/04/08

I am so looking forward to this. My first gig in three weeks and its going to be a stormer...

Tayo has proved himself to be open minded with his musical taste and determined to avoid the proverbial pigeonhole. Although happy to rock any breakbeat dancefloor worldwide he also likes to indulge his wider musical taste. He was co founder of, and one of the residents at Basement Jaxx's seminal Rooty club night in south London, playing out every year on the terrace at Space Ibiza with friend Frank Tope as the Rooty DJ's, and rocking festivals from Homelands London to Creamfields Buenos Aires with his house music hat on. More recently Fabric have given him scope to indulge in another musical obsession with the Cool & Deadly parties, where "The Backbone Is Dub".

He returns to Exeter to rock the cavern after his wicked set at the Beatz & Bobz 10th birthday party.

I'm Back

Yay did me miss me ? ;)

I've been back a few days now catching up on a billion emails and downloading a stack of promos, Plump DJs, Bao & ID, the new Brighton Breaks release and some new stuff on Get Fakt are the stand outs so far, and so I thought it was about time to get back on me blogs...

Australia was wicked. In fact I'd quite happily move out there right now. The wedding was ace (photos here) and now I'm trying to catch up on loads of work and trying to work out my gig calender.

Anyways today I'll me most likely posting up random stuff, mainly gig news I think, and then normal postings will resume next week :)

Ohh and don't forget 'Free Tune Friday' at the moment I can't decide weather to release a full tune or a booty... hmm either way I'll know by friday :)

On Phonic.fm Tonight

Boo hoo its my last Phonic.fm for three weeks tonight :( but its not all doom and gloom as not only is Lex back in the studio but, fingers crossed, we will also be joined by Lee Waller. Yay.

So tune in tonight on Phonic.fm 1-6.8fm (if your in the Exeter area) or online at Phonic.fm for 2 hours of the best and most random of tunage.

F.U.N Events in March

With Red Snapper, Radioactive Man, Dillinja, Shy FX, Madox and Meat Kaite sprinkling just a flavor of what f.u.n.has on the menu, March is looking like a month not to be missed! Forget daffodils, St Patrick and March hares - mad or otherwise - it's all about mixing up styles and preparing for some serious dance-floor action.

Beatz & Bobz Show 03/03

Proper wonk! of a show this week, and the last one till April now as I'm off on holiday for 3 weeks. Anyways its business as usual with plenty of fresh new breaks tunes and promos galore. Plus details of a mega competition in which you can win t-shirts, hoodies, stickers etc but you have to download the show to get the details and it involves you emailing us with your google map coordinates, it all makes sense trust me.

And thanks to everyone who voted for us at Breakspoll this year. Sadly we didn't win best radio show but we were nominated so yay. Next year it will be ours.

Joebot will be covering for us while I'm away so till April, enjoy.
