Over the bank holiday weekend I DJ'd at possible the best festival I've been to all year.

Aeon Festival.

After the mudfest of Glastonbury and the flooding of the Glade I was, to be honest, not really looking forward to lugging my records about in another field... Aeon on the other hand was small, friendly and above all, sunny.



Played in the dance tent on the Saturday night and even tho it was billed as Ben & Lex, Lex was at a wedding in Oxford, so I decided to do a full on Techno set... and they loved it :)

As the title might suggest, behold - a new mix from me and luke. if you've heard our radio show or one of our mixes before, you might have noticed that we aren't always 100% faithful to that bittersweet mistress they call breakbeat - so if you're looking for the last three week's breaks releases mixed together backwards, then you're probably in the wrong place. instead, you are likely to hear: dubstep, techno, electronica, hip hop, minimal, electro, garage and maybe even some yodelling - all re-edited, sliced up and put back together again with tiny digital scissors.

Vinyl Escape

Discovered a brand new mix sharing site today, think of it as The Mixing Bowl meets Digg. Essentially you submit a link to a mix for others to listen and people can rate it, leave comments, feedback etc.

It's called Vinyl Escape and theres already a bunch of Ben & Lex and Metro Boy mixes up there.

Hopefully the site will grow and grow as theres plenty of potential for it.
