Breakbeat TV.

Today I stumbled upon a wicked new website, Feedbeat and so I thought instead of using it to just upload random rubbish I'd actually try and make something useful, and so I bring you Breakbeat TV.

Basically I'm trying to collect all the music videos from Breakbeat Artists, that have been officially made, I can find. Its still quite small at the moment but I'm adding new content as and when I get it.

Fingers crossed this might grow into the hub of all Breakbeat video goodness.

APE006 Out Now

Its Had A Remix Mate !

After the success of the Ltd edition Ape 001 12" featuring Will White and Ben & Lex its time for a remix. We are very excited to announce remixes from two of the scenes hottest new talents, Plaza De Funk and Groove Diggerz.

Will White receives the remix treatment from Breakspoll winning act (Breakthrough Producer) and the heads of the Breakspoll nominated label Brekin Even... ‘Groovediggerz’. The awesome ‘Diggerz give the party rockin ‘Wait a Minute’ a much deeper twist with Rhodes stabs and bubblin bass for the musical heads.

For the flip Ben & Lex get the re-rub from Italian stallion Plaza De Funk who takes the dark heads down bizz of ‘Get On It’ and injects it with a heavy heavy dose of the funk. Following the success of his new single on West & remixes for Westway and Functional, Plaza yet again gives us a dancefloor smasher!

Bah to Monday

I'm still super tired from the weekend...

DJ'd in Bristol on Saturday night at Break! and as I was driving home straight after, it ment no beer. :( . Now I don't mind that bit but I was finding it very hard to stay awake to dj (our set was 3.30-4.30am) so I thought I'd drink a few cans of Red Bull. I've always had bad experiences with Red Bull before, usually very very bad guts the next days and just buzzing on far too much caffeine. Anyway there was nothing else to do but to have a few cans... never again. Why I didn't learn from before I'll never know.

Anyways the gig was awesome, me and Lex rocked it and our new tunes and remixes went down very well :) annoyingly though I didn't take my camera, bollocks.

I was quite disappointed by Noisia who were playing a breaks set before us. Now these guys have released some of the best D&B and breaks tunes over the past 6 months so I was really looking forward to hearing them. But It sounded awful and the mixing had a lot to be desired, hopefully this was just a one off bad night for them as we've got them DJing in Exeter soon.

Just got the flyer sent over for our gig in Brightion. It's been ages since we've played there so I'm well looking forward to this one.



Also got some news on a mega awesome gig lined up in Sicily, but this still isn't confirmed so I'll keep it hush hush for a little while yet.
