Taking it into realms of facemelt it never thought it would go, 'One Step Ahead' has been torn a new arsehole by none other that Temper D and the bulgarian badman Balkansky. Huge drums & screwface bass of the highest proportions makes for a surefire winner. Be warned...if you like you're bass heavy and ya beats hard then this is most definitely one to tickle your fancy/back passage/mum (delete as applicable)

As we emerge completely unharmed from our summer of festival madness we at APE towers are proud, and quite frankly lucky, to have reached our 30th Birthday!

For our 30th we emerge from our mispent 20's with a thoroughly grown up slice of proper breakbeaty bizzle from fellow monkey lovers Original Primate (although we are the original primate we'll defer to them for this one release)

Original Primate have chalked up a few releases in their short partnership. Pete O'Connor (Secureunit) and Rob Focuz (Apply The Breaks) came together through mutual appreciation of dirty raves, breaks and basslines and had their first release off the back of winning a competition set by Computer Music Magazine and the Canadian producer Myagi.

Slugrave @ The Big Chill

 


The Big Chill set are here! Tom Middleton’s Sound of the Cosmos tent was possibly the most popular club tent on site and Friday and Saturday night it was a Slugrave takeover.

Alongside Joe Muggs (Mixmag, Adventures in Dubstep and Beyond) the Slugs rocked it from 2am – 5am, ish, each night.

The tent featured an incredible soundsystem, minimal lighting and 1000 people. Saturday night the head honcho Tom Middleton took to the decks and joined us, amazing us with his own slug creations and jedi mixing skills. Big night out!
